Spirit
Hi there, my name is Spirit and I am a sweet, older dog, who has been living in Malaga refuge for most of my life. I never stood out between all the other dogs in there, because there are so many hoping for a chance....In April, my foster mum took me home to give me a chance. It was a big adjustment, from surviving between hundreds of other dogs, without any shelter or food, and now having my own basket to take my naps in. According to her, I am doing fine. I am very good with other dogs, horses, cats, I am house trained, can be on my own, my only problem is that new things can scare me, so I need to find someone who is willing to be patient with me and give me time to get my confidence back.

Timido
Timido is very sweet but still extremely scared and needs time to trust people. He was found in august 2007 as a scared 4 month old Puppy around the fields of a village called Pizarra. The people who would like to give Timido a chance have to understand that he will need a lot of time and patience to become a loving dog. He is still very afraid of people and only Isabel can handle him. He is not agressive and very social with the other housemates and dogs. Who can give Timido a loving and caring home ?

Chique
Chique has now been in our foster care for 2 years and in that time he has changed so much, when he first came he spent a lot of time on his own, but now he is more social with the other dogs and has coped so well with the many different dogs that have passed through our doors, he is very loving and will always wants to sit on our laps in the evening, his a lovely dog and loves to watch the world go by from our garden, a very easy dog.

Phillipo
Phillipo is in a temporary foster home, as his best friend Kaz has now been re homed, Phillipo has been in the kennels since he was a puppy and desperately needs to be part of a permanent loving home, he is a sweet boy and very loving, he really needs your help to find happiness and security. Give this nice boy a chance, he has already lost more than 2 years living in the shelter.

Flipper
This big guy came at a young age to the Malaga shelter. Despite the fact that he is a big loveable friend, everyone overlooked him at our refuge always looking at the other dogs. Flipper remained for years in the refuge. On April 5th 2010 he was finally away: a one-way-ticket to Belgium. For now he stays there in a foster family until a permanent adoptive family is found for this handsome boy. In the foster family, everyone loves him, he is very sweet, nice, smart and loyal. Because he stayed for years in the shelter, he doesn’t know much, but he will learn quickly if you keep him busy. He likes to be cuddled and loves walking and ball games. It would be nice if he found a new owner who can give him time and attention and someone who wants to spend time training him. He is good with other dogs, but it's better to not place him with another (dominant) male. A beautiful girlfriend for him would be very welcome. Flipper has been tested positive for Leishmania for which he needs only 2 pills a day.

Tina
Tina is a cross Husky. She is a beautiful, sweet, friendly, energetic dog who enjoys all the attention. It is unbelievable that this sweetheart had to wait years in the shelter! May 9th was her lucky day, she was allowed to leave to Belgium. She came to us in care and went crazy when she was released into the garden. She was so happy! She gets on so well with our other dogs. She seems to be so happy and is always waiting in first place for hugs or cookies! She goes to sleep at night without any problems in her crate, she is exhausted after all her new experiences. She likes to walk, also in the car she is calm. Now we are looking for an owner who will love Tina forever, to be part of their family and a place with love and attention, because she deserves it!

Bassie (gereserveerd)
You're so nice, sweet and funny with those lovely spots on your head. Your 2 naughty eyes look carefree into the world. Spain is the past, you're only thinking of LIFE! You bring sunshine into the house! You would offer great fun to an active and young family with kids...So crazy about kids...Always great fun! Running with other dogs, that would be top of the wish list. Thousands of kisses, a very enthusiastic embrace that's what you get from this happy guy. Of course he has still to learn some manners and occasionally be called to order, but he will learn it if you teach him! Bassie is clean and has been castrated. Bassie is staying in his fosterhome, just visit them. His foster mom knows him very well and will certainly tell you all his secrets!!
